They were in two different houses, and we were in contact with them both through our family WhatsApp.
We lost contact with Sahar and Erez at around 8:30, 9:00 AM. They stepped out of the shelter, and said they were hiding outside.
We lost contact with Carmela at noon. Noya is an autistic child. She has to have her medication. She is an amazing and charming girl, with highly functioning autism. She is very sensitive to noises and crowded spaces, and it’s hard for her to stay in an unfamiliar environment. She is very attached to her grandmother, Carmela. Carmela is 80 years old with a heart disease. She is taking medication, including medicine for cognitive deterioration.
She is also hard of hearing. She doesn’t have her hearing aids with her. We are very concerned, afraid she is not treated well. Afraid they were separated. We don’t know whether Sahar, Erez and Ofer are with them, at the same place. We are anxious about everyone, but Noya is especially sensitive. She is distressed when she doesn’t know the people around her.
